ok so a good pal of mine has got me a set of rebuild kits for my twin 40phh solexs but when they arrived from the states today ,i realised that they are for 44phh carbys ,is there any difference in them ?? they are genuin mikuni kits ,and seem to be the same but aint pulling the packets apart untill i know that they will fit ,cos then i will be stuck with a set of kits that dont fit :(

any help would be great ,and these kits dont come with manifold base gaskets so i guess these kits have the same gaskets minus the base gaskets

i just checked on parts list of both 40 and 44 and it seems most of the stuff will work apart from the

jet chamber cover gasket
small venturi gaskets
gasket (specs not listed ??)
float chamber gasket


which is most of the rebuild kits !!! i realy dont want to send them back and have to wait another month to get everything sorted (2 weeks there ,2 weeks back)

i cant believe they stuff up something that simple ,if they are going to send something that far why wouldnt they double check that they are sending the right item !!!!!!!

im so tempted to take the kits out of the packets but i dont want to risk being stuck with the wrong thing and not being able to send them back

ok so i have pulled the float cover of one of my solexs and i cant see any difference apart from the the new gasket being an s5 gasket and he said the s5 and 4 are interchangeable
