Well here is an update...

Had a hell of a time at the creek, Chewed out the rear bush and seal of the gearbox during my OLT on friday.. keeping up with 2 supercharged 2.8l BMW's is fun!
Passed the test, went back to SSS Automotive and swaped gearboxes (Engine out and back in)

Turned up Saturday moring full of beans, end of the warm up lap in Qualifying started to come onto cams down the straight and .....BANG, Tailshaft must of been damaged friday, Tore 3/4's of the extension housing off the rear of the gearbox.

Was thinking of how to fix it but officials called me up to say that I didnt complete the minimum of 3 laps of qualifying.

Back home... Back to the drawing board...Get another tailsahft made with all brand new components, 2nd hand stuff to much of an unknown, Dosnt like 8500 revs and over 200kph

Better prep next time.

Sorry B310gx if that was you that came up, I was a bit dirty when I actually saw the damage

Finally got around to finding some pics...

Manifold is going to be ceramic coated when I have a chance/ Time.

The rest is 1.2mm stainless, its pretty light!

The stainless and steel is held together with exhaust springs, seems to work ok.

Car is basically ready for the Creek, hope I can hold it together

OK here goes,

B310gx, yeah... hopefully be at the creek that weekend, come over and say hi.

D, That inlet manifold is a bit of a tester to get me going, im going to build a revised version with an airbox eventually.

Racetech, Thermostat is at the front of a rwd block. Front left.
I made a plate with 2 dash 10 fittings off the block, replacing the standard oil filter bypass stuff. ill try and get a shot.
As above the ITBs are temp... no cad here, paper and cardboard templates. Kept the original spacings of the toyota items as to retain the standard tps and linkages. Toyota spent time getting it correct!! 45mm black tops also. Standard sr side feed injectors and factory fuel rail.
R32 gts gearbox, sr bell housing, standard SR starter
Kelford 184C are here waiting to try..

Exhaust is a whole story in itself.. ill pm you pics when i have a chance.

Any other questions pm me and ill try and help you out.
Good Luck!!

Nice work on the build, I have a lot of questions for you?

Thermostat housing: As the thermostat housing is on the back of the VE in RWD configuration, what did you do in that regards?

Oil Block: I see you are running a remote Oil filter and it looks like you're also running a oil cooler, did you use the standard oil block on the sump or made your own, I also need to make a new oil block, pictures and drawings will help.

ITB's: Do you perhaps have pictures or CAD drawings of your adapter plate for the Toyota throttles? Are they 45mm or 43mm units? Some people reckon you need in the region of 48mm to supply the ve with enough air.

Starter: What Gearbox are you using and more interesting what starter?

Ignition Setup: Are you running sequential firing or wasted spark?

Cam's: What Kelford cams are you going to try?

Exhaust: Do you mind sharing your specs on the branch and rest of the exhaust, pipe dimensions, boxes, pipe lengths and how loud it is, I must be able to start my car at home without the neighbors phoning the police.
