Hey guys, new to this forum, SO much dato info here!
Recently bought myself a datsun 1000 ute rolling shell to do over the summer holidays + first half of 2011. Right now I'm trying to get a hold of a bonnet and two doors, so I can get down to cleaning her up and painting.
Theres a fair bit of work to do. I've been doing a bit of research of what parts I can use, I'm currently leaning towards putting in a stroked A14, discs all round.
Does anyone have any suggestions with this build? I'm looking at using it as my runabout. Anyone selling a bonnet, doors feel free to message me.
Nice to meet you all :)

Hi Corey,
Welcome to the club, glad to see you made it on here okay. There are a fair few 1000 owners here. Leith, AKA 'lethal_john' is selling a FRP 1000 bonnet, so get in touch with him if you're keen, I think he was after $350.00 a while a go but he may be negotiable, best to ask him.
I have 1000 ute windscreens and back windscreens if you need them, the bonnets I am not keen to sell. I have doors but they're suited to the coupe, which I think is shorter and a touch longer? Not too sure.
I also have a dash-top if you need that and the speedo cluster. Can help with all those.
Cheers,
Chris Lyons

Lots of replies already.
To answer a few questions you guys have asked, I'm located in Adelaide, my deadline is before the end of this financial year (30/6/2011), this is mainly because my partner and I only have one car and really need two.
Cylons8 thanks for the suggestion, but I'd rather keep away from FRP. dashtop, speedo and back glass i might be interested in though, but I have to keep myself from starting this project till November because otherwise I'd be putting other things on the backburner.

Nothing wrong with 'glass guards and parts when theres few alternates available However there seems to be plenty of 1000's in Adelaide so you shouldn't struggle too much for parts
1000 parts are abundant,.... don't know why anyone would get rid of once cause they couldn't find a part.... but some people I guess prefer to be sheep and get 1200's :)
