This was what I decided too Ange.

To hire a trailer in Brisbane for a long weekend costs somewhere between $300-$400. They are usually extremely heavy too meaning increased fuel consumption and more strain on the tow vehicle.

I went thirds with my old man and brother in a 450kg trailer that is rated to 1.5 tonne. Haven't looked back and it has more than paid for itself over the past 2 years.

thats exactly what i want!
a compact trailer thats just enough to fit the datto on, lightweight, easy to tow
and doesnt take up too much room to store like servo trailers.

just gotta find one!

DA75EZ,your standard ADR approved and fitted(at the time)seat belt should not present a problem as long as it is in good condition, not frayed or cut etc. anywhere and generally looks the goods.Having said that,do yourself a favour and go purchase a 4 point harness.Any harness is worth at least a second at any circuit and will work much better in a worst case situation if fitted correctly, hope this helps.

Also just a small things, it says on reg's;
"All vehicles require a working seat belt for the driver as fitted by the manufacturer or better and in date"

Does this mean that my standard non retractable seatbelt will be accepted?

Would love to see as many 1200s down there as possible!

The way I read that section of the regs is that you are fine to race as is. However, if I ever have a question mark over something in the regs I send the organiser and email and then print off the response. The printed response then sits with my Cams license and entry form so if there is any issue during scrutineering I can readily produce it.

I'm going.
Leave from work booked. 5 weeks.
Entry form submitted and paid.
Need to tidy up datto.
Need to finalize accommodation. Need to confirm it.
Need to borrow or purchase car trailer.

Awesome.
