These heads are available from wreckers easily from renault 16 and 18 cars.

They are pushrod so no belt issues and most of the main oil and secondary water
galleries not to mention the bore spacing are pretty close.

Its obvious the e15 has been done but its actually more difficult in the end
as its going pushrod to needing extensive mods from top to bottom where this
renault head would only require head mods.
The E series needs
Apart from extensive block/head gallery mods and offset boring
Crank snout machined,
front timing cover redesigned
New sump design to include timing cover
External water pump
Rear water of head piped to the front
filled in pushrod cavities and camshaft
to be left in to run oil pump and dizzie
but dizzie as all crossflows will not fit
unless you make a hole on your firewall to
run the e series dizzie.
right side has no provision for mounting
as oil cooler and filter are in the way
and theres more but you get the idea.

Twin cam heads have more issues with the oil system
so much needed is an investment in dry sumping.

The Ren's max valve size with 80mm bore is 45 mm for inlet and 37 for exhaust from
Europa and other Gordini Renault enthusiasts.
Hemi chamber in two configurations with crossflow allow these Renault engines
to produce over 250hp in full race specs.
With boost the A series bottom end is the telling factor not this amazing head
which has won the top spot in numerous world rallye championships and other
races on dirt and tarmac.

Just throwing it out there for those that can get one for 30-50 dollars and
willing to have their own version of a Hemi crossflow A series with some good
planning and access to a top notch tig welding guru.

dizzie will still need to be like the AY series
The oil is no issue but the main water channels
seem to be on the side of the block unlike the
front on the A series but the rest are good.
