Is it possible to somehow use a late a15 flywheel
on an A10 or am I limited to an early a12 one?

Reason I ask is because since Im using a supercharger
doesnt it make sense to use the extra torque from
idle to help with take off and gear changes?

I think an A12 flywheel (or maybe A14) would be a good compromise between torque and revability, Just my opinion might be wrong.

hhmm i was thinking the same thing ,i was going to put a a14 flywheel on my a12 to give it more torque throught the gears and from idle it might work !

and a supercharged A10 thats crazy !! cant wait to see it when done ! got any pics ??

It won't make more torque
It will just lose less revs thru the gear changes and rev slower

Heavy flywheels have the potential to store more energy, the trade off is like what D_1000 said, slower to spin up and slower to decelerate. They are perfect for HWY applications where engine speeds dont vary all that much.

Losing less revs is exactly what Im after and slower to decelerate
means to me it will pull better with its stored energy problem is
which flywheel fits an A10? only early a12?
With a twin V belt pulley off the crank to the alternator, Waterpump
and supercharger it could mayb do with a bit more weight in engine rear.

I drove an old 58 citroen 2cv (640kg) and the thing was so nice to drive with
only 600cc, massive flywheel and 2 cylinders of less than 32hp :)
