Well i got the new rear calipers the other day, and got them installed, put on the right front caliper tonite and bled the brakes, also bled the clutch. waiting on some hardware to come in for the adjustable tension rods. next to drop the tank to install a 5/16 fuel tube, fans for the radiator, install the alum coolant overflow tank, more wiring, fuel pump, battery in the trunk, more wiring. i'm getting tired already.

figured i would add some more pics, new driveline in, progress on the rear brakes and h165, i get the new calipers tomorrow, the front rack and pinion all in, the hot side of the intercooler piping in, the cold side almost done, tucking the wires for the front light out thru the fender(guard). and the finished shift tower.

I went with 5/16 fuel line. Works fine for me.

waiting for rear calipers to come in, rotors are being resurfaced, driveline is being shortened, maybe i should drop the tank for larger fuel lines.

probably not it's out of an 80, but it is stronger than the h150 that was in there, so now it has a h165, I went from 53.5" to 54" the h190 was 57" i little bit too wide.

Is a 200sx rear going to be strong enough

Depends:
1977-1979 200SX (S10)
1980-1983 200SX (S110)
1984-1988 200SX (S12)

from 1982 they use H190 (7.5 inch) same as the Datsun trucks

I wonder also as most 2 liter engines have more issues with balance compared to smaller capacity engines.

This is because the heavier the metal that is reciprocating, the stronger the vibrations. Also some engines are not precisioned balanced, unlike Nissan engines.

This is true especially with
longer stroked engines like the Mitsu Astron engines.
Yes that is quite a long stroke for a modern four cylinder. So perhaps it's not surprising that Mitsubishi invented the modern balance shaft system that Porsche any many other use.

Sweet! Is a 200sx rear going to be strong enough and will it be locked?
