Good work on rescuing the parts Brett. People ditching old cars for scrap is still as common as ever. But this one would have been a painful sight for some enthusiasts.

I still can't believe he just ditched it....

we jumped into our scrap metal bin to retrieve all the parts...very lucky as the scrap man came that day....

i know...the guy at work tried to get rid of it but noone wanted it and he hates old cars so he got it scrapped...me and my work mate howy saved as much as we could.....all the wooden floor and tailgate where gone due to termites but other then that wasnt much rust...but it didnt have a motor, gearbox, diff or wheels...

the 8 e series looks like this but this one was the 2 door panel van 1948

just wanting to know if anyone needs or wants parts for or knows someone who has one that needs parts for a morris 8 e series panel van....one of the guys at my work had one at his house and before we got told the car was sent to the scrap heap but we have got some parts off it like doors, head lights and fenders...dont know if anyone would but just putting it out there. i been told that the panel vans are very low in existance if any more in australia but someone might need parts.
