Ok I seldom comment about someone asking huge dollars a for a part BUT..........on a Ebay parts check I typed in Nissan A14 and there were series of adds for Tomei camshafts brand new for $819!!!!! Maybe there is something I don't know but that seems waaaaaay over the top. Perhaps the seller should check the market. Then again folks are free to ask what they want, aren't they.

Sheezus. Yeah I saw those a few weeks ago and fell off me chair. Tomei made the best stuff for the TS Sunny's. But I'm pretty sure you can get a Tomei cam for much cheaper than that (brand new).

I have run 7-8 different "race" Cams in my A's including billets, the Tomei was the best money I have ever spent on the car... period

The fact I can still drive my car around town with ease on a 312 degree cam yet it pulls easy to 9000rpm is fairly good proof they know what they doing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dFdTEdmAcI a little vid while i was doing break in at 15deg total timing and still on 40's (45's on the way), pity the transmission didnt fancy it, locked itself in 4th on the last lap

154hp was my old setup, the new setup for 2011 rules is a tad bit more agressive, will probably have it back on the dyno in a few days to dial the timing in and set cam timing and clearances,

She doesnt do bad for a Marque car (full street legal, stock suspension (bar camber plates and traction rods which i remove for competition, stock brakes, stock body, stock full interiour thought its all redone in leather)

My favorite car by a LONG shot

That's bloody interesting Rezlo, after hearing your response, I'm considering buying one.

Then again it depends how you determine driving 'around town with ease'.

I have a 322 cam that is certainly drivable on the street but the power isn't there till much later on, this late power band coupled with lightened internals makes street driving quite a bit of work. So for example if I were to start on an incline, my only way to get rolling is to drop the clutch fairly sharp and keep the revs coming. There isn't enough inertia and there is too much cam so to speak to enable a decent rolling start.

But if you can vouch that the Tomei cam has a nice broad power band, as opposed to mine which is all up the top end then I would spend $900.00 on one.

Tomei Cam

Well, with my transmission stuck in 4th (and i have the borg warner diff with LONG gearing) + knife edged crank and 3kg cro-mo flywheel i still drove it home from the track, it gets some good torque in by 3000rpm

Tomei produces it from blank material.
Our 1300cc engine recorded 10500rpm.
I have heard formerly, Pitroad could r.p.m to around 11000.
Their and Bpro processing is Tomei, too.
