Well now my holiday is over I am looking forward to start working on her again!!!!! So here the fun and games begin again with some new spares for the ute plated and ready for assembly.
Got these Almera brake calipers and the oem disc from a 2005 that still looks good no lip al for just R 900.00 Not to bad I think and they have rattle plates. Hi guys here trail fitted the turbo manifold and it looks good also painted it with some flame proof paint and baked it on at 350 degrees going to modify the flange today so that it can fit on the 20 valve motor !! Also fitted the water passage plate and dizzy plug and the 60- 2 gear!!So now I am waiting for my button clutch then I can strap the gearbox to the motor and then trail fit the whole caboodle and place the mountings!! Put some sound denting in the cabin now the carpett can go in next!!! Preped the gearbox tunnel a and the crossmember for motor and gearbox fitment !! First I romoved the dowel pins toe fit the engine mountings !! Then I fitted the gearbox !!!! Then I it was fitting time !! Sjoe maar dit was nou 'n mission gewees om die motor en gearbox in te sit!! The only thing that needs to modified is the turbo manifold mounting flange sits to far back it need to move forward that means it must modified a lot to fit!! Man this is a neat build, complete showcar! I reckon the new turbo motor really suites the car more for some reason? haha.
You have some serious attention to detail on cleaning bits up they look great. Good to see you have had a start up, could i borrow your motivation to working on the car and having this much progress? haha nice job!

Thank you very Much Bud Really appreciate it !!!!!!
Welcome to borrow it anytime LOL!!!!!! Just trying my best!!! But it seems that putting a 4age motor in a datsun is not very popular but hence it is still a feet to restore any car!!!!

Yeah i dont know why, ive always liked the 4age's for a fairly cheap and reliable motor they can be tricked out to produce some good power.
Looks neat either way, what is the plan for the car? ie. track car, daily etc?

It is going to be a daily expecting about 180+WKW 280nm with std internals
so I think it will be a nice toy for now !! I must these motors fit in as if the where made for the cars and if you really want to go all out you can get 350+kw out of these motors, that in it self is awsome for a little 1.6L motor!!!!!!!

Thank you very much!!!!!
The modification to the tunnel is very minimal you just need to cut the old gearbox mounts off and then you just lightly persuade the tunnel with a ball pen hammer then it fit like it was made for it!!!!!!
