I last saw it for sale by a young bloke in Murwillumbah area about a year and a bit ago. Think it was wearing some nice "starshark" wheels at the time.

On the subject of 1k's who is the owner of my old orange coupe purchased from Matty?

Just remembered my 1000 sports sedan had a mid mounted A12.I did not finish the project and it went to Gordon Dobies workshop and he finished it.But years later l saw it and it had a rotory in it. All in melbourne in the 70s.

Hey Greg, did'nt you sell your 1000 shell that we half built to Dobie?I wonder if that ended up with Colin.

This would be about the time babies came into my life and motor sport took a back seat for many years

There were 2 x 1000 sports sedans following on Cols 1000 successful setup
but one ran an A series mid mount the other a heavy NA FJ20DE.
The A series one ended up in Perth, the FJ20 one not sure

Gordon Dobie has a new book being released this month that discusses all the Datsun history. He mentions Col's 1000 sports sedan in it. I recommend everyone interested in Datsun Racing history in Australia to buy one.
