hey guys well i started to make them this mornig b4 i got called into work again.
As you can see i didn't get much done. I hope to have them finished tonight. Hoping they come out alright. I would love some feed back as i am only recreating these from pictures i have with no measurments of the originals. Well hers some pics so far...... Sprintex has a 3D printer, I used to do all their 3D stuff.. Flecknoe has a printer for sale cheap.. :) only 45k...

hey guys thanks for the feedback. well just for info... if anyone has a set they could measure for me to compare from theres to mine that would be great...
the measurements i have done are the sides are 100mm by 60x35mm its 35mm at the highest point.... they are 320mm across with an arch as they need to fit semi flush if you guys know what i mean!!!! if anyone has measurements for the sides and top could you please let me know as i would like to know how far i am off with making these ones... thanks guys

so i just found out how high they are about 5seconds ago....
so mine are 15mm to high which is abit of a set back but hey i will keep making the ones i started as a practise run and see how they come out... then i will make them the right height lol but these could look sick as cause there custom lol

just trim the bottom edges off to get them to the right height. look good. i like them better than the plastic ones.

How do you fix the metal ones down carps? I reckon the little ears/lugs used as weber ram tube retainers will do the trick but to get the screw driver in under the actual cowl might be tricky.
You might have to bring the sides in to allow for some fixing tabs accessible from the outside of the cowl. Or have some access holes drilled, but not sure how that will look. You can view topic.
