Only 20mm. It certainly looks like more. Thou's generally aren't my thing and I swore I wouldn't get another datto that I wouldn't love but if I get something cheap enough that I can buggerise around with and not waste too much cash then it will be worth for experimental reasons

If you bought that shell you could recoup a fair chunk of that money on the spare parts I reckon.
I'd be interested in some of the parts, absolutely.

Well, it looks like I will be getting the 2 door sedan off Lagwagon. I suggested an offer and I got a 'sounds good' in return. I was thinking initially of a 3/4 chassis budget sports sedan before but I think that it may evolve a bit.
See how fast a resolution can be broken... About as useful as an eBay contract.

Don,sounds like a plan.I need to say however,if you don't already have an intimate knowledge of the CAMS manual get on line and download the Sports Sedan regs and have a good read.I know of two cars up here both done quite well, however neither comply and can't be used in the class at CAMS events. These poor fellas are stuck with only doing AASA events where basically anything goes as there are no"real" classes as we have known them.

I'll be looking into the rules and regulations as like you say, I don't want to build a car that I can't compete with. I need to pick a form of racing within my budget. Which is fcuk all...

Mik, there is a difference between no skill and no cash. I have no cash. You don't have either...
But it will certainly be interesting to find out how much I can get away with and what I can build. Big bang for buck wise.

With no bucks,i'd suggest build the B10 to Improved Production regs.
If you only do club stuff EG Sprints/hillclimbs etc.Jam an A14 or Ai5 in the hole, standard drive train with maybee a diff upgrade, some disks on the front and 13x6 or 7" wheels.A cage is not req'd whilst doing the above events but is'nt a bad idea.A set up like this would put you in the 0-1600cc class and would be half competitive against all but the front drive Honda screamers, your winner is the lack of weight.Ough you also need some Toyo's or Yoki's You can view topic.
