Ive been meaning to do a project write up for some time now.
it started like they all do i was just going to fix the rust and respray the body and slowly fix any problems i found.
but its now turned into a major rebuild..
i bought the ute off an old bloke in Stanthorpe qld.
apparently this ute was used to escort horse floats between Stanthorpe and south aust..
so it has unknown kms on it.i was told when i picked it up that i am its second owner and that the motor has never been rebuilt
so a mate and i drive from the sunny coast to Stanthorpe, roughly 4 hr dive, to pick the car up..
this is were my obsession for this wonderful ute started..
i took it for a test drive and learnt the art of using freshly rebuilt drum brakes...'hold the f@#k on they do nothing',,
so we preceded to drive the ute to its new home on the sunny coast.
to my amazement it got home without a hitch...
so after driving it for a while i decided it was to high and needed lowering. a two inch lowering kit from ebay made this possible.
after a month or two it was time for a respray and some rust kill.
this is my first go at car restoration, i have been restoring vintage dirt bike for years and decided it was time to restore a car..
pics up soon

Bike carbs yes!!!! who needs webers :)
Love to hear a sound clip.
