sounds like some rotten luck, also sounds like you will seriously battle to get anything from the van driver

prob better to fix yourself and not mention to any insurance, chances are your also going to have an uphill battle with the insurance company to not really screw you over as they will instantly try to write the car off as well!!!

Yeah radiator busted on the bottom tank. The damage isn't too bad but it's enough to #OOPS# me off.

But can you see in the 3rd photo, I was turning left and he managed to hit me on the left hand side of the car because he was cutting the corner so hard.

I mean, look how wide the streets are, there is no reason for him to be on that side of the road.

So I'm not sure what I've done but the Datsun gods have punished me. After landing a new job, I went for a drive to a mates place to have a chat and tell him all about it. About 20 metres from the house I was at a T junction and I was late braking, I managed to stop in time but a courier van clipped the front. He was driving on a two way street and he was driving on the wrong side of the road.

To me it was obvious he was trying to cut the corner turning into the street I was coming out of and that's why he hit me, either way he left the scene without giving details and when I reported it to the cops they said that I was in the wrong because I hadn't checked to see if it was clear. Case closed.

Here are some pictures, tell me what you think about it all. The images are of the car where it was hit and exactly how it stayed after the hit. I did not have a camera, after the bloke had driven off I got my mate to run and grab his camera.
