i had the same problem as you by the sounds of it.

try bypassing the resistor that sits on top of the coil (my'n was white)

ok os if it only does it when it is warming up how can it be anything to do with the coil ?? the coil and i0gniton system works the same when it first starts and when its at optimum running temp ,i think it has something to do with the timing being out abit or maybe the auto choke in the carby

not aiming it at anyone just not sure the ignition system has anything to do with it :)

mine does the exact same thing and im running the same weber.. i always just thought that it was the auto chokc on the weber cause i never actually thought mine worked properly.. But if thats not the problem then my guess that it would be running rich..


quick question, what kind of fuel consumption should you get with the 32/36 weber?

as i said before mine did it too ,but mine had the choke completely romoved !

might be the cause ??

I spent weeks chasing the problem when my ute was running the A14 the reason it stops when the car heats up is because heat makes things expand hence a better electrical contact. also sounds electrical due to the battery dropping voltage even after a charge.
