As some of the illustrious former posters have mentioned, the name of your business will dictate the type of customers you attract.
To start with, my presumption would be that you're going to need the run of the mill (boring!!) servicing jobs to help develop a customer base and get the $$$ coming through the door. Once you've established your credentials throughout the area you can start to focus on just the performance stuff and move away from the boring stuff!
Without overdoing it, what about Riverina Service and Performance Centre?? Covers both bases.
Another tip, don't use your own name or family name as the face for the business. Reason being is when you start making a mill a year and want to offload the business, it's a lot easier to sell a non private named business.
Sorry, overkill on info but my two cents for what it's worth!!

thanks for the replies guys!.. i wasnt aware that you can have multiple Business names under the one ABN.
Im currently looking at a few sheds that are up for lease atm, might go have a few inspections and go from there! It will only be an after hours and weekend workshop for the start, just till it gets off its feet. Im actually quite excited about doing it!

I also think Riverina Performance Centre sounds the best.. as long as its clearly noted that i do all types of general repairs etc it should be fine.. im in talks with my graphic designer mate, who is designing some flyer/poster designs for me to look at.. we have a RAAF and army base in town so there wont be any shortage of work, the performance car scene is also quite strong.

EDIT- I will also look into producing Performance datsun parts too at a later stage! will also look at setting up an online shop later
