Hi Nick,

Fast = no life and spending all my spare time on the ute to finish it. I usually spend 3-4 hours a day on it after work... it knocks the job off quickly.

Andrew,

I link the pics and keep the pics on photobucket. i'm copying their IMG link and then just changing the img code to lower case to link here. I'm wondering too why the pics dont show up larger.

More pics soon RSR.. just finished up the last door ready for hi fill yesterday, I was putting it off because I was sick of welding up rust.

Cheers

Ed

Hi oda,

The tubs re marginally wider (moved up to the rail and removed the rail lip and fully welded), but the increased radius makes them appear large.

some more progress. I re-based the rear wall and cleared and also shot hte insides of the panels and backsides of the hanging panels, where they will be seen.

hope this image link works better.
rear wall clear coated.

A little teaser pic..

taken with my phone. the paint looks ok but there are some runs I got in the clear coat.. it was either peely or runny... reduced the clear only 10%, I just couldnt get good atomisation. I put on a bot more where there are runs so I can sand them out...

anyway.. you can see I ended up going 2 tone... was a bit of a pain to do but Im happy so far, more pics to come.

Looks great Ed! I love the burgundy/black two tone look. There's a (god forgive me!) Commodore that I pass on the way to work done in similar colours to that and it looks awesome.
Can't wait to see the end result!

thanks Shoota,

I wasn't sure the combo would work but it's turned out OK, the hardest bit was getting the stripe separator between the colours.

ironically the burgundy is a commo colour. and the black is just plain old black

i'll be happier once i buff it.

Cheers

I have a question... is the standard factory tailgate stay, cable or chain?
