A little update:

added TRX wheels, on stanza struts with 1200 tops and R31 inserts. heavier duty springs were cut until the correct height was obtained.

all works well.. very happy.

After a rather disappointing end to the ute as a result of an accident.. A decision was made to get another body to re-home the engine and all another good stuff. A sedan was found which was really clean and after some minor rust fixes.. it is getting ready to have all the running gear transplanted.

while it would have been easier to give up, just couldn't bring myself to do it.

watch this space... as the sedan is re-born and the ute will probably get turned into a matching trailer.

Ive made trailers out of utes before...

here's one I prepared earlier out of an FC Holden. you probably cant tell but the tray area was extended 6 inches to give it better proportion and the front side was given a rounded edge so it didnt look cut and shut.
A spare wheel carrier was built behind the front wall so a spare wheel would break up the large panel.

It was left in primer as the new owner wanted to match his car. I only had this ute cut for 10 years or so.. not bad for an $80 outlay.

I reckon the datsun ute back will look great...
