So currently running a old wolf 3D ecu and hand controller on my a12 efi turbo setup but it has run out of needed adjustments... anyone got any real experience with other aftermarket ECU's?? running a crank angle, tps, coil packs, 4 inj, water temp, oil temp ETC ETC....
Cheers

Check out the GM delco units from camerias, and VN-VR series 3.
These computers can be had for next to bugger all from wreckers, and are highly programmable.
There are a few dirfferent models available but the infamous '808' is the best one suited for 4 cyclinder applications. If you can get noe from a cameria, its less programming as its already 4 cyclinder ready.

delco hacking

This forum is full of help and information on how to use these.

Its the method I am planning to use on my Daisy for a few reasons. 1. cheap and easy to find. 2. very well known ECU. Any tuner can deal with them. 3. My brother is a GM delco wizard. 4. highly modifiable and programable. 4. If you make an effort you can learn how to make custom ecu setups.

My 2 cents...

In my opinion haltech make the best value for money ecu's, I've had one on a couple of cars and will be running the new platinum sprint 500 on my sedan. For $1000 brand new with everything you can't go wrong.

I agree with Wardy with the fact that Haltech offer a product with great functionality for the $$$. This is supported by the fact that big workshops like PAC and GAS use or have recently switched to using them.

However lots of ECUs will due the job and they are only as good as the tune that goes into them.
