Yep, you can change the clutch in about 20 minutes. Easy job.

Back in the '80s we built a dune buggy with the 4 speed tranny from an N10? (sold as the 310 in the US). Datsun comp had a stump puller gear set available for the 4 speeds that worked good for our application. Engine was an A15 bottom end with a 1200GX head and carbs. Mild midrange cam to finish the package.

N10 was all A-series until the last year.

L@@K it is mounted in a subframe!

where is the transmission? It's under the A-series. Behind the engine is the flywheel/clutch and a "jackshaft". I hear you can change the clutch without removing the gearbox?

I did many happy k's in a N10 A series Pulsar while living in Aus. It was a standard 5 Speed Dogleg box attached to an oval port A14. For what it was it went fantastically well. Check the engine number as they only used the A14 in the N10 for about 6 months until the E series was available.

Found an original N10-A12-FWD gearbox still attached to the engine just by accident the other day, thought i would let everyone here know.
I wasnt aware the N10 pulsars ever used the A series motors.

A Datsun 1200 FWD or god forbid AWD using this box would be pretty cool.
