Bought a set of flares. They fit like poo. Very disappointing. Waiting for a second set of flares to be made. So far I haven't been pulled up yet by Queensland's finest but I have had a fair few looks from them at stop lights.
Mods currently in the works: Autotechnica seats Gearshift rebushing Flares Engine build is still on hold. The Dellorto's are pulled apart and have been wet blasted thanks to Component Restorations in Brendale. Great job with restoring them! Also have thoughts of going with an all wood interior, e.g. wood glove box lid, wood dash fascia, wood door cards, and wooden gear shift knob. Already have a wood steering wheel.

Looking good mate well done, The general lee. Noticed in one pic it appears your undoing bolts with a tension wrench. Its a good way to throw out the calibration on them or even do permanent damage. Not saying it will but it happened to my last one and we had to send it back to get re calibrated. The supplier strongly warned me against using it for undoing any nut or bolt especially with tension on them. My latest one says this in writing.

Ute update!
Its been a long time. Latest modifications include fender flares, mira front bar, and some more General Lee accessories. Musical air horn ready to install. Fender flares I sourced from a guy who knew a guy in Warwick. Apparently he builds fiberglass pieces for the vintage V8 Supercar races. I am extremely happy with the shape and fit of the flares. I previously had a set of flares from Bpro second hand and I much prefer the look of these ones. Mira bar finally trimed and painted. Installation of flares and mira bar provided by Sanitora Works. A few final touch ups needed as we rushed to get them on for the All Day Classic Japanese show yesterday. Here are a few pictures from the show by others:

Unfortunately during the show my window regulator broke, and will need a replacement. I am actually thinking of replacing the whole drivers door as I have a set of unused hinges.
A few months ago the driver's door got jarred between my carport column as I was backing out.... Issue though.....Can I re-use the General's 01...its a vinyl decal applied with water..hmm.

Thanks Mik! I mean Mike, I mean Michael? That's the Yankee way to say it. You are right on the money with the need to lower the hips. Few jumps in the Paddock and those springs will adjust themselves!
