Rear extension seal

Hai!
Im wondering whats the go with the 60 series 5 speed rear extension seals? Are they 2 piece - Seal and separate deflector? ...or is the seal meant to be mouled into the steel deflector? What is the deflector for anyway? Just that - deflect crap from the uni? Im asking because I'm after another seal and mine seems to have the seal moulded to the steel cup/deflector and while looking around the net it appears that they are meant to be 2 piece? What parts does the 32136-H5000 part number represent? ALSO, I've read in the wiki that the 60 series rear extension bush is non replaceable but in my rear extension housing you can clearly see the bush as being a removable one that looks like a plain engine bearing but has 2 oil holes and cross shaped oil channels on the walls?! Whats with that? If all fails I can push in a plain lip seal (30 ID, 45 OD) and then shorten the part on the deflector that fits in the housing and install it. Ideas? Thoughts?

It is a one piece seal + dust cover 'cup'. It is the same part number for 5-speed and 4-spd.
* 32136-H5000 OIL SEAL-REAR EXTENSION The Factory service manual says:Quote: If rear extension bushing is worn or cracked, replace it as an assembly of bushing and rear extension Quote: in my rear extension housing you can clearly see the bush as being a removable one that looks like a plain engine bearing but has 2 oil holes and cross shaped oil channels on the walls Yes, we can see it looks removable. But if you cannot buy a replacement does it matter? Here is a picture of the 60-series seal: Attach file: temp.jpg (8.57 KB)![]()

Wow thanks!
So even if it IS removable, there are no spares? Well I can machine one up from phosphor bronze if I find it to be worn in that case - lol I'll have to make some spares if I do make one for datsun1200 members. Im guess that If I bring in the 32136-H5000 part number to Repco/Bursons then they should be able to sort something out. Thanks once again.

Yes, just ask for a transmission "output seal" for a 1980 Datsun Sunny with A14 engine. The parts stores here carry the part.
For the bushing it reportedly can be replaced, see main forum discussion worn part on gearbox end.Need advice please You can view topic.
