hey i am going to shave the tailgate to my 1200 ute and was wondering if anyone could tell me how they closed it from the inside or wat mechanism anyone used

have you done a search?? i'm pretty sure there's a thread on here where someone uses door latches, or taken the guts out of a commodore tailgate and used that. then there's the more primitive way of just using a padbolt which you would see on a fence gate or somethin

Nothing is a straight bolt on fit so use whatever you like. Commodore, Falcon, anything. You could probably even use a lever style off a Ranger, Hilux, etc.

im with hotrocket, shave the handles dont weld it up, there will be times when you wish you could drop the tailgate.
