yeah.. the old two steps forward one back.

First i dumped the coolant then removed radiator, inlet manifold and replaced the failed alternator. I think it was a fail on my end.. didnt fit a proper earth cable. Fixed the exhaust leak That turned out to be a full days work. The small turbo rear v-band wasn't lined up to the flange, With the help of my brother we adjusted the main wastegate clamps but had to remove the large turbo to access bolts. Massive pain but we tightend all bolts and got the v-bands to sit flush. big thanks to my brother for help hahah big day and alcohol was consumed. Also change rear housing on the gt35 for better flow. Is now a bit lagger on the dyno.

Took the inlet manifold over A.R.E to weld on the new flange plate, TB and install blank plate, bung holes for Map, air sensors.

Engine bay was nearly back together and i noticed that one of the engine mounts cracked. Ordered the black mounts from maddat and fitted to car which was fun when using car stands and jack. lowered the xmember and did it that way. found one of the end links on the swaybar stripped. ordered new part from maddat.

Got the car over to the workshop to get dynoed on a saturday. Thanks Ben.
did some pulls then on the last run up the fuel rail lifted, cracked at the metal posts and dumped heaps of fuel from the injector adaptors. lucky no fire!!. stopped the run just in time. Need to remove the inlet manifold again and weld up, fit bracket to hold rail in place better. Brother said on the first run up 298hp was on the screen. Setup to run 10psi i think now.

closeup of the posts that hold the fuel rail. I think the posts were supposed to be welded once the injectors were fitted into correct positions. lesson learnt. 8 injectors plus boost pressure have some force behind it. Need to fix my rear drivers side r31 brake, really tight and seizing under pressure?? SO want the new billet ca inlet manifolds CPC is making omg sooo nice.

Went for the first drive. Needs wheel alignment. The rear leafs bounce a lot so i have decided to get some maddat leafs. Brakes feel little weird, the pedal has to be pushed in hard. I did take out the rubber/spring valves in both cylinders which could explain the feel. I believe i bleed the brakes correctly.
Found the dump pipe hitting/touching the idle arm :( after changing engine mounts.
Found the engine belt inside section rubbing on something, maybe crank gear :( just starting happening

Don't you hate that. Just when you think it's all sorted some niggly little issues pop up.
Nothing you can't sort out with a little more $$$ and elbow grease. Your 99.9% there.....soon you can unleash the fury . Love your build there's some quality work gone into it.

I've putted around the court in mine and then thought I'd venture around the block. As soon as I got the chance to put the foot down the engine roared like a jumbo jet....massive boost spike. Then it started missing and by the time I'd limped it home she was on the verge of boiling. Kinda wiped the smile off my face.....but gave me a glimpse of the fun to come HAMMER TIME

Where do i start haha been a big couple of weeks. Took the car to the exhaust shop and had the dump pipe adjusted to stop hitting the idle arm. Got the car home and pulled that out and got it ceramic coated black and re-installed, had to buy a racket 11mm spanner to get the v-band on. 3.5inch is very tight around the bell housing. also returned to get the exhaust to stop rubbing on the rear shock.

Dissembled and removed radiator, intercooler, alternator all the other bits so i could see what was happening to the timing belt. Found tensioner spring uncoiled behind the bearing argh...my fault. Removed old belt and marked the cam gears. Long story short.. #OOPS#ed up! out by one tooth both gears and made less horsepower then run-in tune hahah.

Also fixed my brake problem by re-installing the rubber/springs into the bottom of the reservoirs.
wheel alignment done, which feels much better to drive. About 1 inch play with the stock steering wheel when stopped.

After the problems with the re-tune had to rip everything out again and fix the timing belt which was out by 1 tooth. Getting quicker at that now hahah. Found turbo side engine mount melting again :( order another and when i re-fitted i wrapped it like a present. fixed some oil leaks around oil relocation kit.

utes getting some 2 link bars made with tailshaft loop aswell so should have it back late next week then power tune time. :))
