Wombat according to wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wombat

Vicious buggers, nearly killed this bloke

Otherwise there is a Cherry owning/loving member on here who has Wombat in his user name..

Wombat is the pet name of the Nissan E10. It's only the pet name in Tasmania, in other countries it is called Nissan Cherry or Datsun 100A/120A. E10 coupe certainly is funky. The E10 sedan is merely homely.

Might be UK as they didn't get utes. And USA didn't get any E10 cherries.

Must be 1974, what with the B210 Coupes and the brown 710 (Violet) in there.

In Japan the 710 and E10 were sold by Nissan dealers but the 610 and B110/B210 were sold by Datsun dealers.

Can you link to the original photo?

In the top right there's the silver 100a that used to be seen driving around north melbourne.

I suspect this is a UK shot.

well thanks for the Wombat education, I'd heard of them but dont think I'd ever seen one. Kinda cute unless its trying to kill you! I assumed I was going to be educated about some Datsun model not a marsupial but thanks anyways it was interesting.

I guess if I ever make it to AU I'll be ever cautious for Wombats

So the fugly silver thing is an E10 Cherry?
