You don't need any diagnostic tools. Let it sit overnight, then in the morning disconnect the hose from the Booster. It you don't hear air escaping/hissing it didn't hold the vacuum overnight -- that is bad.

The end of the valve which you blow on which doesnt let air come out the other side goes toward the engine
The end of the valve which you blow on which does let air come out the other side goes toward the booster. Hope that didnt break your thinkbox. Is the uncovered metal pipe on your intake manifold the pipe which your booster line was attached to?

yea mate the sucking side is towards the engine and the blowing side is towards the booster. Yea that little bent valve is on the intake manifold. Not sure if its meant to be like that, bent that is.

I agree with Benny. It's the booster. Foot on the brakes at traffic lights and idle rises.. this is the symptom of a booster with a hole in the diaphram.

So the hose to the booster goes over that bent valve on your manifold? So system is manifold>bent valve>hose>ek51? valve you took photos of>hose>booster?

All you have to do is unplug everything from the booster except for the last bit of hose which hooks up to the booster, suck on the hose (dont be a sissy girl, suck directly on the hose) and then put your tongue over the end of the pipe while you're sucking. Stop sucking but leave your tongue on the end of the hose. It should suck your tongue onto the end of the hose and it should stay there without letting go.
And now for all the sick c##ts to make fun of what I just wrote LOL

just disconnected the hose directly at the booster and heard a loud hiss for about 1 second. Sounded like when you open a bottle of coke. Also tried sucking on the brake booster hose and my tongue stuck......confused. The brake booster is only 8 months old. Are we sure i have the check valve the right way?

Plug the hose from the booster on the end of the valve which doesnt let you blow thru it

why should i plug the hose? Doesn't that mean i'll deactivate the brake booster?
