Thanks guys,it has came up pretty nice... Putting the paint on will be interesting there is some bloody tight spaces, datster I don't think anyone could pay me enough to do it all again.. Picture are great because they don't show all the hours rubbing back, wax and greasing in stupidly hard to get to spaces....

Mate .... MATE!!!
I just spent the whole afternoon reading EVERY SINGLE PAGE of this thread, and after I finished, went back to the first again, just to have a look at what you started with ... FHUKKIN WOW! Over engineered, maybe, but mate ... What a work of brilliance! You and your old man have done an astounding job on this what was once a humble 1200 ute. The thought, the strength, the fabrication, the lengths, the tenacity and the completely outside the box development on this rig demands nothing but respect from any eye thats cast over it. Everything about this build has had purpose, namely keeping the thing from twisting itself into a pretzel once you get it cranking LOL ... Its an all rounder, it'll go fast in a straight line while being able to do the same around corners. I am going to be getting stuck into my 120Y for some VERY BASIC resto work, your thread alone, has given me more than enough information to get started and see it through to a finished product! The pictures you have posted have been fantastic, they show how things should be done, so for future reference, i'll be calling on them as a guide of what I need to do next. Congratulations on an awesome build, fantastic thread and the knowledge that you have shared that would have educated even the most seasoned builder. Looking forward to the rest of the build :)

Thanks buddy... Def didn't think it would get to this stage when I brought the car... Doesn't matter what level a build or resto is done to its just about learning and enjoying what your doing... In terms of the engineering side of things I get what your saying but a stock evo 8MR engine like I am using in stock form has close to 300hp (206kw at the fly wheel) and the Tourque these engines produce is pretty impressive... Can't be to safe I reckon...
I haven't learnt a lot from other builds and forum members on here. That's the main reason why I put info and pics up,so others can learn and take ideas from what I have done... Thanks again mate !!!

Safety is where it is at, your's firstly! ... But doing as you have with the ute, its not going to come apart in a hurry!
Will be interesting to see how much difference there is in tare weights from the standard ute to yours ... I reckon even with all that extra weight packed in, you're still gonna have a PTWR that will be out of sight! That WOB set up with the 4 link is certainly something else! The photo of the back end shows that this is one serious bit of gear ... As if the stanced looked the ute now has doesn't already scream it enough! LOL I'd hate to put a $$$ value on the end result, but that's inconsequential.

Well instead of studying for my end of year exams, I just read this entire build thread. Quality time spent, this is an absolute masterpiece. No expense spared by the looks of it too, well done mate. Keep it going!
