The decision is in. After a discussion with the missus due to the mass project situation I will be going with a mild A14.

well i saved 2cents then. lags did have it nice with the a14 and quads.... would be more cubes than the a12, and with the right head about or even more so flowing than a gx head.

Imagine the throttle bodies at the bottom of a large plastic container, and then the ecu on top of that with the harness. Extractors were taped to the outside of the carton. Then it was couriered to Melb from Wollongong... Twice. Alledegdly he sent it to the wrong address first.

While I'm happy that the injection finally arrived during last week after what seems like an eternity, it did arrive without the crank pulley or exhaust system. I have the main components including the extractors at least. But the ECU was just thrown in a box on top of the throttle bodies and bounced its way down the hume so I guess I will be lucky if it ever works again.

So now I am pondering what to do engine wise. I am tempted to put an early A12 in, simular to a GX setup as I have a GX head and I'm sure I could get a few more ponies out of it and make it fairly smooth running and have a good wide torque band but I am also tempetd to put in the A14 with a wilder cam and try and aquire around 100hp at the wheels. That would be good. I am confused a bit as I have so many ideas and I don't want to regret the final decision that I make.

It has to be a tasetful old school like streeter, reliable and predictable.

AAArrgghh. Stupid brain. Make a decision dammit.
