To be honest, it wasn't my first choice in model. I've always been partial to them but always favoured the 1200 coupes, and lately the sedans a bit more. But for the engine conversion I had in mind I wanted something light. Then I got the thou off Lagwagon but it was missing so much and it seemed like a mountain of a project. Then after a heap of searching and viewing I chanced across this one. Which has bucketloads of character and an interesting history. It has a certain look that appeals to me and it certainly ticked more than a few boxs with what I want.

It's a little disturbing to me that it has remained garaged almost it's entire life and so far I have not found any structural rust, Not even a pinhole. The floors are good, quarters rust free and apart from some light surface rust, it's a gem. Inside the boot has to be seen to be believed. It is the absolute povo pack, having no heater, only one sunvisor for the driver and it has never had a external rear view mirror fitted. Never. The left door and front guard have been repaired at some stage and the paint is lifting but the rest is origional and is well worn, but not crap. It has a few dents but nothing I'm going to worry about just yet.

As for my plans with it. I'm going to measure it up for my little toy motor for it and see what pans out. I like the current look of it so the mags and body will remain as is, while the seats are going to get repaired or replaced. I'll put up some more pics soon to show you guys just how awesome this car is.

Well, after much searching, I have finally come across the perfect basis for my next Datsun project. With The help of our resident B10 hoarder Chris, I drove out to Shepperton today and came home with this little beauty.
