#1 metal badge repairers??
nt1200 Posted on: 2011/6/3 16:19
Hey guys,
Does anyone know of somewhere that repairs snapped badges? I cant seem to find a boot badge for my 1200 coupe.
I have 3 of boot badges but there all broken. One of them is only snapped once, so i thought there must be a guy that must work on that type of metal. Thanks heaps, Nick

More than one on Ebay... That is a kind of pot metal. Lots of zinc, low melting point. It's hard to repair, because when you get it hot enough to melt it back together, it's already lost it's shape. Glue and epoxies don't really work because there isn't enough surface area at the repair joint to form a strong bond.

Just buy a genuine nissan plastic badge , less expensive than a repair and wont rust.

ahhh yeah i guessed it might be a bit difficult, but those badges you link are 1200 sedan boot badges.
The rear pins on them, are they in the exact same spot as the coupe holes??
Thanks Nick

How does it go on the boot? Has it got pins or does it have foam that sticks down on the back?
Thanks mate. Cheers Nick

Genuine Nissan-sold 1200 badges have pins. Newer manufactured ones are high quality chromed plastic.
