The cam is getting fixed ,and the head is now clean
Spoke to them today and he said the bearings were scraped/honed to suit the old cam ,i now am using another cam ,and they ground the cam after the bears werefitted and scraped ,so its kunda my fault for dropping a new cam on them after messures were taken to fit another cam
Anyways its all going back up on saturday for new cam bearing and the cam to be repaired
The reason im getting new cam bearing is cos today I was told to see if the cam would go in with the ca mn gear bolted to it ,i tryed and it was almost all the way in when it got jard so I stopped ,when I got tje cam back out I checked all the bearings and number 5 has a burr in the centre of the bearing
Im not streesing anymore ,after thinking about it ,its not the end of the world and I have faith they can fix my fuk up and then I can get my motor back :D
Cheers for all the help fellas ,things like this happen and neil was very understanding about whats happened and is keen to help me fix it
Cheers :D

Dunno whether this would be off topic or not, but i've got an A10 block with an aggressive cam sitting in it (ex speedway car block apparently) which has been sitting out in the rain at my mates place for who knows how long, lots of surface rust everywhere. What would be the best way to extract it without destroying the cam? Any ideas whether a quick chemical dipping and linishing would get it back in shape? Will take some photos of it all ASAP.

I've heard surface rust pits the surface ,so as you said maybe a dip and linish
Pics would help another though

How do you reckon I'd go if i stood the block up in a press and tried pressing it out after soaking the block in some diesel?

Wow that is tight. If you got any penetrene around apply and leave for few days.
Pressing out is probally less likely to cause damage, compared to a big hammer, screw driver, vice grips, stiltson etc.
Could you heat the offending parts with an oxy?
