Update..
ended up cleko'ing the beaver on and then trial fit to butt join it.. after making a few manipulations and relief cuts here and there, everything lined up reasonably well. no brainer only took about 2 hours... will adjust the final panel gap by manipulating the tailgate edges. just needs a coat of paint (POR15) on the reverse side and box section and ready to tack into place. Where's the best place to get POR 15 from? Do you spray it with a spray gun or just pressure packs?

I buy it direct from them. you can prob get it through other distributors now, but I've used these guys for years. www.ppc.au.com I prefer to brush it on... I'm asthmatic and even using the correct respirators it chokes me up. but if I must spray it i use an old touch up gun and thin it about 15%... you need to clean your guns well as it sets like rock. no pressure packs are available as far as I know.
