I have no doubt that Bige does good work, I just don't really have that kind ofmcash to drop a fully reco engine at the moment

I'm hoping to be able to get something reasonable for <1500

i'm putting together a "rebuilt" a14 engine;
all cleaned/honed/new rings/bearings/linished crank/gaskets/fully serviced oval port head/clearances & assembled/painted/welsh plugs/std cam/comp worked out(not yet)ready for your bolt on bits, if you or anybody is interested. $1650 that includes engine & rebuilt. will put up pic's soon. cheers

that is excellent!!! if things change im in

pic of short engine, head next, h89 head / double valve springs/ gx gasket(0.6mm) = comp ratio 9.8:1 spot on for a nice daily driver.

cheap, too cheap. your cutting yourself short. be realistic about how much is involved in a good build. looked after this will last for years.

rebuilt a14 ready to go for your bolt on bits,be a great little stocker for somebody.pm if interested. cheers

for the people how don't know, i'm a engine builder by trade.(30 years & race A Series engines speedway)
YES; 9.8:1 comp(i cc it all up and worked it out)
YES; it would be slightly better then std engine(due to comp)
YES: it is fully "rebuilt" as ad said.
YES; can freight at buyer cost.

NO; thats the price(i fill thats a great price for what i've done)
