lately it's really been bugging me about how slow my B310 is. I'm kind of wondering if I have another problem costing me power, or is my car if really as slow as it feels. It seems like all the work I've put into the drivetrain it should give me more then a 20+ second 0-60

It's a 5 speed 60 series A15.

Mods: Weber 32/36 DGV
Slightly ported/rebuilt stock head
%100 emissions delete
MSD IGN box + Blaster 3 coil
Fresh Dizzy cap/rotor
Accel 8mm wires
NGK 7082 Platinum plugs w/ .50 gap
Straight 2'' exhaust.
Timing 13 degrees BTDC w/ no vac advance. Only centripetal

It's super lightweight with no A/C (Now belongs to EDP!) no rear seats, gutted dash/ interior. Basically, if it can be removed, I've done it.

A few pics as reference.

Here's a video of me attempting to speed off. I ran it all the way on the floor to about 4K up to about 40MPH.

I even thought about taking it to the local shop to have it dyno'd so I can see what the actual numbers are for this thing.

hmm it should hit 60 miles quicker then that, my black ute with A15 was easily under 15 seconds even closer to 10 seconds if memory serves me correctly

Datsun B110 does 0 to 63 in 20 seconds.

B310 is 20% heavier, but A15 is 25% bigger than A12.

Yes that 2" exhaust will make most power at 7,000 RPM, and the weber likewise.

Lacking vacuum advance will hurt performance a little bit, but won't make any difference at full throttle.

Maybe I'll go air her out and get a video of it cruising just to give you guys an idea. I don't take it above 5500. Is a 200K mile A15 safe to take up to 7K?

yes, nothing will break. Stock valve springs are good for at least 6000, old ones might not do 7000. And the stock cam is a 6000 RPM unit.

See what she'll do.

I'll go kick her ass and post a video then. Interesting if I see any valve float around 6K.
