Nah the Verada/Commo setup fits fine, it's my large stub axle 180B struts with RX-7 4 pot calipers on them that don't fit. They're probably too big anyway. Overkill for the pissy little A14 (once I eventually get it in!).

Hey Rob, I'm a fool, I decided I needed the money for other stuff (figured the seats wouldn't be needed for over 12 months at current rate of progres!) and sold them. A week later I bought the new ute which would have been perfect for them!! Bugger! Some bloke bought them to put in a Patrol 4X4 mud racer!
The other ute is way back on the back burner. I'll get Fergie a bit nicer then decide if she cops the SR and I just restore ole Whitey or whether I stick to the original plan. It would be soooo much easier to just put the SR in Fergie but time will tell!

Ok, I rocked up the wreckers last night in my suit(!), I could see the bloke looking at me thinking WTF!!! I had my little box of tools I pinched from a bloke in the workshop and found myself a replacement Stanza hub.
If the wifey gives me some spare time on the weekend and my coilover kit turns up we could be a bit closer to getting the 17's on the front.
Just need to work out what shorter strut inserts I'm gunna use so I can cut the tubes down to the right length.

How much shorter are they?

I don't claim to have done my struts the cheapest way or the best way but I've now realised in hindsight that to do them remotely properly is a bloddy expensive job!!

This is how mine worked out-

Stanza struts $200 (rip off I know!)
Brakes $250 (Verada/VL Commodore combo)
Coil over kit $299 (HSD - Otomoto)
Adjustable strut tops $180 (Ebay cheapies)
Strut inserts $175 (Monroe Sensatrack R31 Skyline 362mm (3 inches shorter)

That's a total cost of $1104!!! It certainly makes the Maddat setups look a lot more attractive than I first thought!
Hopefully I get most of it bolted together this weekend so I can see justification for the $$$ I've spent!
