heyb guys just after some shock for my ute mainly rear but may need front as well. My ute is a 74 model thats going back to stock. I would love to put Koni's in but unfortunately dont have the money. So im thinking i might get apair of KYB's, ive heard that theyre pretty good at a reasonable price. any opinions and past experiences on ANY shocks would be much appreciated! Cheers Eddy

Yes, get KYB non-gas. They are great for the stock suspension.

Physically same as VB110 wagon, but different damping characteristics.

And direct OEM part numbers:

Grouse cheers, why would you choose non-gas though DD? I'm pretty sure I'm running gas in the front...

KYB oil shocks were designed for B110. The gas shocks are stiffer, so cause a slight bounce if you are running stock springs.

If you a stock 1200 suspension, you want a stock 1200 shock.

If you have modified suspension (flipped leaf, removed leaf, etc.) then go with the adjustable shocks.

4x4 hilux front shocks go in from memory very heavy duty, good for predictable power slides.
