260c aren't IRS unfortunately but 240k's are
Actually a 240k coupe would be an awesome looking drift car. They are a sweet looking car. But I imagine they are pretty rare even over in oz?
a 910 with IRS would be a pretty budget option. Easier to get panels than the older datsuns, would be a little more work fitting the 6 in there, but I dont see that being an issue for someone as handy on a welder as you are.
They still look pretty cool when about 50mm off they ground :D

240k's are quite common but not so much the coupes.. but your right it would look bloody tough!.. the key to keeping this on budget is the initial purchase price.

I may have gotton onto a 180B sss not far from home. has 4 wheel disks, hydro hand brake and a cams approved cage.. just waiting to hear back from him.

For cheap option, its hard to go past a S13 or 180 SX. Drifting a classic machine, is probably going to cost more in the end.

Yeh I know the Nissan machines will be easier to find and cheaper to get parts for etc. But I wanna steer clear of those. By the time I buy a s13 roller I could have a datto with a cage and other bits and pieces. It's not going to win any shows lol, will just be stripped, matte black. Flares and bronze fat jap wheels. Should look tasty.

Rb25det, 3082r, fuel pump, injectors, cheap ecu, side pipe, cooler etc. Easy and cheap 280kw at around 18psi..And fairly reliable.
Most expensive part will be wheels and suspension
