perhaps an a14.i know it doesnt need to be engineered and it goes ok, nothing to be ashamed of!!
luke's (whorida) old 1200 ute was an a14 n went pretty good!!!

for now dont want anything that has to be engineered...that can come later when i've got more money!!!!

what you can do stick with a A12 and work the sh1t out of it, i came up beside a 1200ute years back in my vr commodore at the lights, i said how does she go...he replied il show ya, i was bloody shocked, all it was a 1.2 with downdraft webby...id tell you if i had my time over tossing up between a CA or A series ...id go the A

id go the a14, twin carbs, cam and some balancing... to get it reving nice.
60a 4 speed gear box and a h165 in the rear, will hold up well to anything an a series could throw at it. enough talk- pictures!!!!!

hoping to get to wreckers today to see if i can find anything......at least find 1 or 2 1200s.....maybe a wagon too if m lucky!!!!

just got told the big weber is from a Factory 1986 XF Falcon 4.0l engine
