The white sedan has 500+HP SR20 Turbo - has been known to wheelstand , my orange one has an L16 with just webber/extractors. Had a few minor spots of rust come through in recent months _ little beggers! I also had a kind person kick the doors in while i had it parked out the back of my work so with the doors needing doing and the little spots of rust i will just give the whole thing another couple coats. Will also do under the bonnet - and i want to clean up the engine - maybe rebuild it. Not sure just yet with the engine

The stock 1200 diff is only good for A12/A13 engines. The stock 120Y diff (after 1974) is good for up to 1.6 liter engines.

Anything beyond that swap to a ute H165 diff or something even stronger.

Well it's a 120y diff behind an L16 but I must drive too hard for it. I wouldn't recommend the combination for anyone who wants to 'drive' their datsun. H165 you say? I think I had one lying around what's the easiest way to tell?

Cannot believe the person who kicked your doors in, i couldnt imagine your fury, i would be on the hunt thats for sure!

I would recommend using the H165 as a minimum.
Heres a good topic + photo of the H145 (coupe & sedan? diff) vs the H165 (ute diff)

Yes, H165 from a Datsun 1200 ute will last behind an L16 -- it was used from the factory behind L20B engines.

H145 (1974 120Y) vs H165 (1200 ute)

it need some slight modifications to use in a Sedan.
