if you mean heater cock by heater tap then you couls also rebuild it!
if its similar to the ones in a 120y were it has tabs at the back you can pick then pick it all off then inside you will need to replace the rubber seals i used o rings which worked and circlips holding the metal disc in place!

Yes, cock is indeed what I said- thats the tech description off the Wiki- must say that I found that amusing myself.
Thanks for the advice re Bpro, EBay. Might see whats available ex USA AS DD is quoting them at $18 whereas BPro is quite a bit dearer. Cheers Dave

Dave,
Ring cockram nissan parts dept, and ask for Scott. He can still get new parts for GB120's, so he should be able to get you a new heater valve. I know that Damon (Dattodevil) got some brand new factory moulded heater valve hoses a little while ago. Tell him you're on NZdatsun.com, and he should look after you. If your heater valve has given up, I'd be prepared to wager your hoses aren't far behind either. And the shape of them tends to sqash flat when you try and use regular old heater hose.

Thanks Bart,
They were 1st on the list for tomorrow morning. I know the CEO of Cockrams really well and his parts manager has been great over the years but I believe that he may have moved onto Miles Toyota spare parts manager. If so I'll definitely talk to Scott. Replaced some of the hoses but I'll check. I've got the whole heater out at present and Scott is flushing the heater core out ( as well as building a nice shiny new ali radiator! ) Cheers Dave

sorry to raise an old post but mine is leaking up the central post.
1. did the replacement o ring solution work? 2. I know i can get a new valve assembly from BProjects/EBay but almost $100 is a bit steep Anyone found a better (cheaper) solution? thanks in advance ... David You can view topic.
