Was playing with boost control today. I added a little more boost where the torque was starting to fall off. Not adding much torque but getting it up earlier and keeping it up till redline.
Its making 216Hp at 7200rpm atw (161Kw). It needs new valve springs still, so cant push it much past 7200 yet.

Bloody Hell Simon. What are you feeding that thing. The hopes and dreams of small children?
How did the gap change go at Sandown?

it's a pity you haven't shared more details on the setup of the car with us, must be quite a good rig all round, how the heck do you beat a record by 3.5secs... thats massive amounts on a circuit.
you mention in vid not many under 2ltr running, thats suprising, how many typically run? would have thought that type of racing would be jammed full of competitors in fact there must be massive voids in the speed of cars as you came second and the guy that came first lapped 3 secs faster again? is it a competitive sport? i was always under the impression you needed massive money and power to be anywhere near any of the other cars, perhaps a fair bit of fun can be had cheaply?

Dads Holden Monaro HX only made 216hp from its red 5 litre V8
Thats an unported head but If it was ported with big valves itd be interesting. If only PJZ could donate a works head from the kindness of his heart :(

lol, true for peak power but i bet the 5 litre graph vs the a12 graph is like an airport landing strip vs the eiffle tower

Hey Don, closing the gaps helped. I went under the lap record time, so fairly happy.
In Vic, there is only a few under 2lts cars. In NSW they have separate races from the over 2lts cars, with 25 to 35 U2lts cars on the grid. So NSW is where the top U2lts competition is. I`m wanting to take the car up there later this year to see how it fairs. The Winton round was missing a lot of the fast Vic cars, so probably not a good example of competativness at the front.

Im thinking about selling this engine.
Would include: -EFI manifold and TB -Tubular turbo manifold -Garrett BB turbo(optional) -Nearly new injectors(700cc seimmens) -Crank and Cam triggers for sequential inj. -all required engine sensors -Coil on plug Ign. -Complete long motor, H89 head, head studs, Wade Cam etc. Can test drive in the race car (subject to deposit taken and driver experience) The dry sump system would be changed for a standard sump and pump and it wouldnt have a flywheel or clutch. I`d be happy to help fit another ECU and tune it, if i sell it.
