hi thanks the secondary jet is stock so would be a 135 i have a 150 from another carby but wont this take too much fuel while crusing and wot? how much would economy suffer?

hi ok i have a problem were in the morning the car wont start with the choke fully pulled it will bog and die with black smoke from exhast but if the choke is half way only it starts even with no choke!

the person i got from says a well tuned carb wont need choke and can start without it??

does this sound right?

not saying he might be wrong just want to make sure!

Never used a choke on my datto's even in the middle of winter and they always run perfect.

only thing i choke is... i only used a choke on one a12- never on any of the others, wish i did with the su's but i just reved it a little with my foot.

i need one with the lpg in winter currently- car starts easily but idles too low til thermostat opens for the first time then all good at temp.

choke increases air speed in carby so that it draws more fuel through venturi, same as an efi car richens the mixture electronically when engines cold

your black smoke is fuel... too much of it in mixture which is not being burnt because choke is on too far

ok so the choke butterfly valve isnt supposed to be fully closed when the choke is pulled?

it works when half closed so il leave it thier!
