Don't think that combination is suppose to overheat. Did you cut the old radiator support panels to give more airflow. I think you must get the radiator cleaned.

Cut some out need to cut more- I think ut is air flow related- needs more air flow when stationary- fine when moving

alloy + cheap = more problems
my rad guy mentioned the cracking of tanks, wasnt a problem with mine hence 88 i would still get yours done... you have all the mounts and hoses and things done, 130 for essentially a brand new rad and no overheating is a good price!

I suppose I can't yet vouch for the alloy on reliability since the ute is not on the road yet .... not even taken up to temp as I don't have any fans either. - but at $260 it was a lot cheaper than getting the EXA one re-cored and modded (over $400)
Nick.... the RAD is a FENIX one ... see my build thread

I never had problems with my ca alloy radiator only started to heat up in traffic if I didn't have the fan on, it never got hot!! And that was in when I was sticking 17psi through my poor little a12 and then 10psi a14 and my mild a14 and a few stock a12's never noticed anything apart from it being too tall
