You wont need me to convince you to go lpg like I said in the other thread if I had my time again I would stick with petrol. What year is your 1200? If you havent got the z18 ecu you will need to use an aftermarket one of adapt a ca or sr one. And then you may find it cant be engineeed thats why I went lpg due to no emission rules so you can basicly do as you please and stay legal

Also use a stanza crossmember and 180B mounts thats whats in mine.

It's a 1972 Coupe. I don't think those mounts will go into mine??

Will I have to change the teams tunnel to use R30 stumpy? If so which tunnel to use?

Use a 120y tunnel, also grab a stanza x member and take the mount post off them and weld them onto your 1200 x member. Get a spare 1200 x member so you chop that not your good one.

Stu have you tried a Disco spud on the stock Ex mani?
Was the LPG tuned properly with the stock mani?
I think both inlet and ex manis are the bottleneck
however Z18et exhaust mani is no more restrictive than
the CA18DET facotory one and that is good for 330hp ate.
The inlet manifold leaves much to be desired like all early model EFI manis and I think both manis and head
inlet valve size hold the key to more HP while torque
will never be an issue with this engine.
Stu do you run cast pistons and at what boost?

No never run a disco on standard manifold im just going off what worked on my car. With new exhaust manifold and 3 inch exhaust it picked up almost 30kw on the same boost which is 15psi. Ive got acl hyperetic pistons will be changed to forged when the motor comes back out but it's lasted 8 years now with plenty of abuse so dont know when that will be

Finally found your specs on first page of your thread :)
Quote:
SPECS ENGINE Z18 turbo rebuilt with acl pistons,L18 counter balanced crank.L20 rods shotpeened and balanced,L20 water and oil pumps, ported and polished head with wade 7881 cam heavy duty springs and retainers, custom oil cooler TURBO AND INDUCTION T28/T3 hybrid turbo on standard manifold soon to be upgraded to a custom manifold,Standard modified inlet manifold running gas research 400cfm carby with single b2 converter, custom intercooler with gfb bov, custom catch can GEARBOX AND DRIVELINE Standard Z18t 5 speed rebuilt with exceedy button clutch, custom tailshaft,VN borg warner diff with 4.11 lsd

Turbo is non Ball bearing? 30kw is a fair wack to the back and did torque come in later or improve?

Ummm.... L series crank and rods, no ordinary Z donk :)

what where the ACL pistons on the wallet? Even Fords XR6 turbos supposedly have high silicon cast pistons as the noise of forgies till they warm up wouldnt be a selling point :).

Yeah its not a standard z Not sure what pistons are worth as the motor was built before I brought the car and yes its a bush bearing turbo
