G'day guys,

Selling my Engine out of my 1200 Coupe. I was originally planning on converting to EFI and turbo charging but I just don't think I would be happy with the end result. This is a regretful sale of a fantastic little engine but unfortunately I need to fund a CA18 or SR20. Engine can be inspected running as it's still in the car.

I am located in Melton, VIC 3337.

I am not too sure on what I want for the engine so I will start by taking offers.

Engine
Rebuilt A15 including new rings, bearings, welsh plugs, water pump and all new gaskets. Engine balanced and bored 1mm with matching flat top pistons. Modified oval port head including resurfacing, valves lapped and valve stem seals replaced. Standard valve springs. GX Twin Carbs.

Cam Specs - .326 Inlet .326 Exhaust . Exhaust opens at 77 degrees and closes at 42 degrees Inlet opens at 42 degrees closes at 77 degrees. Exhaust duration is 243 degrees. Inlet duration is 243 degrees. Inlet lobe lift @ TDC on the overlap .106 degrees.
Compression ratio is approx 10 to 1 plus.

Transmission - A60 Series 5 Speed. Clutch & Flywheel Standard.

I personally think its a shame to see that car modified. Have you ever driven one with a CA or SR? They feel a bit like an old falcon with a 351 , nose heavy. Too much power is never enough tho.. good luck with the sale mate.

Great looking setup! Good luck with the sale. You should put a price on it though.

It also has the twin carb choke cable which I am told costs a pretty penny.

Umm Im on the same boat, hate to see it modified unless
you kept the running gear and went for a worked L series
or even a crossflow prince skyline G18 or G20 with quads.

I'm still a little up in the air about it. I do love this engine and would love to keep it. I just don't want to go through all the effort of converting to EFI and turbo and not be happy with end result.

Would you be interested in pricing from the head up?, Motor and trans would cost to much to ship. But may be interested in buying the head with carbs etc....
