#21 Re: [VIC] FS - Rebuilt & Worked Oval Port A15, GX Twin Carbs, A60 5 Speed Transmission!

If I can get hold of a decent EFI setup that is capable of decent power (turbo), then I would much prefer to keep this engine. If anyone can help me out, please let me know.

you will have to build it, and then kill kevin kostner and his field of dreams just for even thinking of making water world

Ok I'm not too sure what that means.

I believe it's been done with good results and isn't that difficult.

Most CA18DET need full rebuilds and datsport kit
or similar so can cost abit.
Have you thought about a Z18ET with full counterweighed
L20B crank, supposedly they fit straight in as the Z18
has the bigger journals to accept the L20b crankshaft.
Its a better looking engine for the year of the car and
there is a member with a 120y making over 200hp atw with
one and looks better than most due to less ricey looks.
You can also do the same engine but with L18 or L20B
bottom end to avoid pollution gear if you get the pre-75
model engines which most likely only allows L18 engine.
No pollution gear keeps with the retro theme

I always have wanted to boost a CG13. 67kg wet with all the modern engineering features. all alloy, mutli valve, cross flow, twin cam and plated bores. Off the shelf Nismo and other tuning house bolt ons available. Tranmission is a hurdle for rear wheel drive, but not impossible. Errol from Datrats has told me on good authority that he has seen the best part of ~370HP at the fly on avgas in a VIC sports sedan. Even if the dyno is generous, it is very decent power indeed.

I also heard Erol mention that engine but
Im quite curious with the CR14DE now that
Don pointed it out and I had a face to face
with the engine pulled apart to reveal
a very refined leap over the CG13DE.
Id say it has 400hp in it for sure especially
considering the suzuki G13b is similar in
capacity and can pull 400+hp.
