Bummer! These bulbs that I bought are just a tad too long in the bulb. Enough to not fit in the dome recesses in the tacho. I'm wondering if there is any way to make a spacer so the part that clips in sits back a little and allows the bulb to clear? Any one have any suggestions how to do this without fouling the operation of the bulb? Cheers.

Type 161 are known here as T10 or T3.25 (3-1/4) "miniature wedge" http://www.donsbulbs.com/cgi-bin/r/b.pl/161.html
#7 - Dash indicator lamps

The round Dash T/S are type 1445 (known here as BA9s "miniature bayonet"), but are low power 1.7 watt. http://www.donsbulbs.com/cgi-bin/r/b.pl/1445.html
They seem bright enough.

The dash T/S lights are ?

The dash indicator lights are technically T161 type. Nissan calls them "Wedge Socket". Also known as "twist lock". These sockets take Wedge bulbs.

From our article Dash Lamps
Quote:
•1.7 watt bulb (ROUND GAUGE) 26261-89902
•3.4 watt (Square Gauge) Type 158 14V
•NOTE: Type 159 is identical looking, but only 1.0 watt 6.3V

I'd try the 3.4 watt in the Coupe, as the LEDs should run cooler so they won't overheat. The dash could use brighter lights.

Thanks supafatto, I get confused with the T4/T10 thing. Will either work? I found these which I think will work as well and they are in Aus for faster shipping?

I've got all the wedge type bulbs replaced with LED but I'm having trouble finding the small bayonett type ones for the tacho and turn signals. Any suggestions? Jayco doesn't have anything, nor does Supercheap.
