Yeah yeah yeah, pics or ban on your build thread my friend

They are a unit similar to what endo had advertised but different in font and layout of the cover, I'll have a max model/render up soon just trying to get this last week at uni sorted.

They would probably be quite expensive as I cannot see enough demand to warrant getting them cast so they would be a CNC'd unit. I can't give prices just yet, will have worst case scenario prices shortly.

They do have a cap, with a port vent in the top and rear of the housing for your pcv outlet.

In the meantime, if you are in a hurry buy the ones endo has, these will take a while to get together.

This one will be a slow mover people, sorry but that's how it is with small order jobs. Like I said if you are in a rush (and have lots of money) pursue Mr Endo at bprojects.

Depending on how quickly you want to make this happen I'm interested in getting set up with a rapid prototyping machine. It would be a great way to make the mold to have them sand cast. That can be done in small volumes or even one offs. Alternatively you can make the mold out of wood the old school way. The casting place will just need to add some risers and the funnely bit. Do you know anyone going to Panorama Tafe? They have the equipment there to do it. (Induction furnace and casting sand.)

Has anyone thought about a folded sheet alloy style rocker cover?

Basically would only need a cut plate flange and then the rest would be sheet alloy cut, folded and welded? You can see an example of some Moroso ones on the front cover of the book Performance Fuel Injection Systems by Matt Cramer & Jerry Hoffman (check on Amazon for a cover pic you can zoom in on).
Could be made to look quite trick with quality welds and engraving/polishing to suit..

Just out of interest and comparison, how much do the stock a12/14/15 rocker cover weigh? And also roughly how heavy would an alloy head for an a-series be?

thanks
