Thanks for the headsup, I'll have to expect to fork out serious $$$.
There's a place not far from me selling an A15, reckon I'll just take the plunge and grab it - go from there and see what happens.... Thanks heaps for the advice, Mat

If it's heavily worked and you are looking for someone to build it for you and supply ALL of the parts you'll be looking at $8000-10000.
If they build it and you supply all of the components (not consumables) don't expect any less than a $6000.00 bill. Obviously you save yourself a #OOPS#load by doing it yourself. But that's only if you can manage it.

wow, thanks, that's exactly the sort of info I'm after - all of that will help me greatly expand my understanding of it all so far.
I'll properly research each item/idea and term and try to formulate a solid plan as to what I want to build. I actually just scored a twin su set up, so, I'm looking to go down that road. I agree that it's more original to stick with the A series. I kinda got the idea from a show I saw where this guy restores an MGB roadster, chooses to stick with the original twin su fed engine and have it all rebuilt, so the car's integrity is intact but has the benefit of a stage 2 polish and port, it kinda made more sense to me to stick with what you've got and just make it better. Thanks again for the help, there's so much to go on with there, I'll get stuck into it - cheers

And an l series will put out more torque
![]() Then again boofheads balanced a12 was quicker on high revs but twin webbers etc compared to l16 straight LPG... Didn't suprise me but I was hoping wouldn't happen lol
